SOLUTIONS TO MODEM PROBELMS

4. The phone line is busy

 
  • Make sure you are dialling the correct phone number. Make sure you are not dialing the area code and the country code.
  • The server may be full. NET2000 has two dial in numbers:
    Dandenong (03) 8791 2000
    City (03) 9011 1800
    Try switching the dial in number if you are local to both.
 
  • There maybe a power failure at the server.
  • The telephone exchange maybe congested. Testing using the mobile phone and call the numbers above.
  • There maybe some problem with the dial in ports.
  • You may have problems with your modem.

Please note that the server is electronically monitored around the clock. If there is a problem are alerted immediately.
